complaints procedure

Not satisfied? Let us know

We always do our very best to help you. Even so, there may be something you're not happy about. We'd like to hear about it: your complaint helps us learn. On this page, you can read which steps you can take.

step by step

How do you make a complaint?

Step 1

Discuss it with us first

If you're not happy about something, tell your practitioner or one of our team members. Most complaints can be resolved together in a conversation. Call us on +31 10 425 6277 or use the contact form with the subject ‘Complaint or comment’.

Step 2

Independent mediation through the KNMT

If we can't resolve it together, you can turn to the KNMT Complaints Service (KNMT Klachtenservice) of the Royal Dutch Dental Association, free of charge. An independent complaints officer mediates between you and the practice and works with you to find a solution.

Step 3

Dental Care Disputes Committee

If mediation doesn't lead to a solution, you can submit your complaint to the Dental Care Disputes Committee (Geschilleninstantie Mondzorg). This independent, government-recognised body makes a binding decision.

Member of the KNMT complaints scheme

Tandartspraktijk Kleinjan is affiliated with the complaints scheme of the KNMT, the professional association for dentists. This means our complaints procedure complies with the Healthcare Quality, Complaints and Disputes Act (Wet kwaliteit, klachten en geschillen zorg, Wkkgz).

You can submit a complaint to the KNMT Complaints Service using the online complaints form (in Dutch) or by phone on +31 30 607 6276. For the next step, you can find more information from the Geschilleninstantie Mondzorg (in Dutch).
